Our Commitment

Sustainability in Balance

For Cleto Chiarli, sustainability is a path built over time, with care, expertise and respect for the land.

Adaptation

DifferentiatedRootstocks

In the hillside vineyards we use rootstocks chosen for their drought resistance, adapting the plants to the specific conditions of the soil.

This agronomic choice allows the vines to grow in harmony with the environment, reducing the need for external interventions and guaranteeing the fullest expression of the terroir.

Technology

Agriculture4.0

Weather stations and sensors guide our agronomic decisions, optimising the use of resources and reducing environmental impact.

Technology at the service of tradition: we collect real-time data on temperature, humidity and soil composition, intervening only when needed.

OrganicFarming

Controlled-scale organic farming trials, where we test and refine sustainable practices.

Every parcel becomes an open-air laboratory where we test new techniques for organic vineyard management.

Formal Commitment

EqualitasCertification 2025

A SystemicCommitment

Cleto Chiarli's approach to sustainability begins in the vineyard — in agronomic choices, in precision technology, in the ongoing experimentation with organic practice. It is daily work, rooted in the land and in time.

In 2024, this commitment became part of a broader framework: the entire Chiarli 1860 Group initiated the process toward Equalitas certification, the leading sustainability standard for Italian wine producers. The qualification was achieved in 2026, concluding a comprehensive assessment across three dimensions — environment, ethics, and sustainable economics — which also encompassed the commercial and logistics operations connected to Cleto Chiarli wines.

It is a confirmation that what happens in the vineyard does not stay in the vineyard: every production decision reverberates along the entire supply chain, through to the market. The Group's first Sustainability Report, now available here, documents this journey in full.

Our Philosophy

An immersion in our family history

Since 1860, the Chiarli family has cultivated the vine with dedication and passion. Each generation has added its own contribution, innovating while respecting tradition and territory.

Sustainability is not a trend for us, but a concrete commitment that translates into daily choices, investments in research and development, and constant attention to evolving best agricultural practices.
